wow at meme rn, first off didnt shinee do really well in dream girl era? Triple crown, their best selling single ever, most critical acclaim ever plus in top 5 album sales this year? So basically they improved in EVERY aspect this year. How does that mean they should disband & r 'phased out'? I'm curious why people are saying this please enlighten me

Is it Exo? Is it cuz ppl are focused on the present instead of the grand scheme?

lol mte anon. like even if exo becomes more successful than shinee, so what? shinee still earns money. a lot of money. sm wouldn't phase them out just because their new rookies sell good.

glad someone agrees with me. I get that it's frustrating Exo is getting aligned promo right now but honestly shawols were spoiled at the start of this year (feb-end of march ) the jjong accident kind of messed up promotions for wss but the 2nd album part still sold well, better than most releases despite heavy competition.

I think people forget that everyone has their time to shine & even though Exo is gaining popularity that doesn't erase shinee's. the fact that shinee is constantly gaining new fans & public appreciation for their music first and foremost (esp based on netizen comments recently) & they make bank touring makes me lol at ppl saying SM is throwing them out

it's not their best selling album. the dream girl single is their best digital performance but still not anything to boast about. concert ticket sales have also declined, they don't fill asian concert halls and stadiums like they used to (except in Japan). critical acclaim is higher, but idt we can say they improved in EVERY aspect this year. saying they will be 'phased out' is not at all like saying they should 'disband'. exo has received extensive gunning power since their debut, whilst shinee's 2nd album of the year and repackage received virtually no media push from sm. this is what gradual phasing out involves. the repackage is selling poorly btw

but it is their best selling album, dg sold 152k so far, sherlock sold 139k and the ones before that sold less too

lol at u. I'm bored rn otherwise I wouldn't bother responding so here it goes. 1. Nothing to boast about compared to who? It was the number one selling boy group single for the first half of the year. Successful single. Did way better than wolf since u love bringing up Exo 2. Um..did they have a concert in Korea in the last few months or did I miss something. Also lol at u glossing over them selling out ticks in Japan, , where kpop groups go for all the cheddar. Concert sales are where most of the money is, regardless of where. But according to you I guess Exo sales in china mean nothing rather huh? Don't worry I'll wait . 3. Yes they improved in every aspect. Sales wise, performance wise, public recognition side. Unlike a group like 2pm, they are growing not rapidly fast but they are. What shinee has is stability, and because of that they aren't bed gonna 'phase out' , they'll coast & guess what? When they release great well promoted music they will slay just like they did earlier his year with dream girl. So stop bringing everyone down esp with things that aren't true.
