da this is a more general observation but i've noticed that even in duets he usually sings the 'base' bc his voice is quite stable and he can harmonize extremely well with other singers- but some of my fave moments from shinee songs are the rare and beautiful sassy onew lines? idk mb i sound cray here. he can sound so subtly sexy and artful.

true. i find myself really similar to him in that aspect. i'm a good singer but i'm even better when i'm the 'base' and i harmonize better so i let ppl sing the actual notes most of the time

which is why i love the name i loved sfm

i was in choir who sings mostly classical and contemporary songs (sometimes pop songs ig). i sing pop & rnb with my friends but i'm most interested in jazz. it sucks because i only have like one friend who's really into jazz too :/

yeah while i like pop and rnb and ballads, i really love jazz and those "boring" songs (quoted from my friends, ofc). when i go to karaoke i don't even pick songs bc all i want to sing is jazz and no1 would care. one time i picked michael buble & nelly furtado's quando3x and no1 in my group of friends at that time knew the song (wtf???) so i sang buble's and nelly's part alone :( sad life of mine. uhh it would suit onew's voice perfectly ;;

omg i love buble/furtado on that song *______* and... it's so weird, i mean obvsly there are boring songs or, really, renditions, in all genres, but slower songs are p much lumped into 'boring' regardless.

ikr! i really like upbeat songs too. ig i've lived with people that use music as a companion for their lives so these songs really don't suit them at all. esp because in college i mostly listen to music while studying (bc we have to study all the time) so my friends usually play really mainstream popular pop songs. for a year i had to listen to justin bieber and lady gaga omg it was one of the darkest years in my life

of course it's important. perspectives like this get repressed and then they explode during wank when no one really communicates. for the record I don't think people were pressed, they were just pointing out that he's not so attached to the group

while i want him to get more work, i get that they don't send him on is2. i think his voice is not suitable for such competition where everyone is all about korean's fav ~powerful voices. i'd like him to get musical again tho

taemin doesn't have a ~powerful voice tho, neither do a bunch of ppl who HAVE gone there. musicals, he seems to like those, will probs get some work there.

taemin def has potential esp since he can hit higher notes. idk is2 gives me that impression that the voters will only like either emotional perf or perf of songs with high notes lol

onew can sing p powerfully and emotionally too, was all i was saying hehe

those voters wouldn't appreciate it as much as i do, was all i was saying u-u

i do think that the concept of dragging a high note for the show of it is somewhat foreign to him- uh oh disclaimer that doesn't mean i judge showier, melisma-addicted singers- but part of the appeal on a show like IS is hearing idols try out stuff they don't usually, and even if he did like two stages i'd love to hear his choices
