anon, you're not being practical at all and i don't think he's unhappy unless he's like, a ridiculously ungrateful person, which i am sure he's not. he is not going to be feted for just his voice. it's nice, granted, as his personality but beyond that, his appeal is limited. you're saying certain industry professionals want him as do korean fans but the majority of the korean public is not hankering for him and ultimately, they are the audience, not stans. if it's a non-idol production or event that caters to the public, i wouldn't blame someone for not picking shinee. they're not snsd.
