one of my problems with kpop, and it's not the idols' fault i know, is that they apparently can't afford/risk perfs without the bloody backing tracks. it just makes even lives sound canned, and even if someone was gonna come up with interesting adlibs, it can sound weird bc of the backing. i like when they harmonise with the backing track ofc. but it's still tiresome. i love that oppars can sing and dance well simultaneously but sometimes
